Shelby & Steven
February 21, 2026

What began as a simple swipe on Hinge turned into a love story neither of us could have imagined. We matched on October 11th, 2022 sparked the first of countless conversations that would bring us closer together.
For our first date, we met at McFate’s Brewing Company. As fate would have it, we showed up in matching outfits, black shirts and denim jeans. We uncovered we both graduated from Northern Arizona University with the same degree in Hospitality Management.
After our first date, life quickly got busy, but we kept gravitating back to each other. It started slowly with a few casual dates and long conversations, but the connection we felt deepened and it was hard to imagine spending time apart.
We began seeing each other more often, planning spontaneous nights out, sharing meals, and learning about each other. Shelby’s thoughtfulness and loyalty stood out while Steven’s steady presence and calmness made it easy to be open and true.
As our relationship deepened, it felt natural to take the next step, introducing each other to the people who shaped us.
Steven met Shelby’s parents for the first time over dinner. They admired Steven’s calming presence and support he provides. While Shelby met Steven’s family for a special family dinner. They instantly saw how much Shelby loves & cares for their son.
These first family moments were the beginning of two families coming together with love and excitement for what’s ahead.
One of our favorite trips was to Puerto Vallarta. With pool days, strolls through the streets and a tequila distillery tour, we discovered our love for travel. However, just as much as we cherish our trips, we also love quiet time at home. During the week, we enjoy meals with friends, date nights and our Friday tradition, pizza and movie night.
Whether we’re halfway around the world or sitting on the couch sharing a slice, we love being together. No matter where life takes us, our favorite place is beside each other.
On February 28, 2025, Steven planned a moment that would change our lives forever. With the help of Shelby’s parents, Steven planned a surprise proposal including both families and a view we’d never forget.
On a trip to the Fairmont Kea Lani, Steven led Shelby to a 6th story balcony covered in rose pedals, overlooking the beautiful Maui Ocean. As Shelby stepped onto the balcony, Steven took her hands, dropped to one knee and asked Shelby, "Will you marry me?"
Through happy tears, Shelby said “YES,”. Then, just from out of view, both sets of parents appeared, ready to celebrate the moment we all waited for! That night in Maui was about love and the promise of forever, just as we always hoped it would be.
After everything we've shared, unexpected first dates, cross-country trips, family dinners, holiday lights, and sunsets in Maui, our story is leading to the moment we say “I do.”
On February 21, 2026, we’ll become husband and wife, promising a lifetime of love, laughter, support, and adventure. We can't wait to share this unforgettable day with all of you and step into the future.

Lindsay and I met back in 2014 through our sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, at Northern Arizona University. Since then, she’s been my best friend, my go-to drinking buddy, my dance partner at Denim & Diamonds, and the one person who can read my mind with just a look. From golfing to weekend trips in Lake Tahoe and Pinetop, to binge-watching The Bachelor, we’ve made some unforgettable memories together.
She’s the most supportive and caring friend I could ever ask for, and I honestly don’t know what I’d do without her. Fun fact: Lindsay is the reason I met Steven — she expanded my Hinge range, and the rest is history. She's currently planning my entire bachelorette party (wish her luck ;) ) and helping with the bridal shower, because she’s just that amazing.
From swiping right to “I do,” she’s been there for it all - there’s no one else I’d rather have standing by my side!

Amber and I go way back to high school, where our friendship was built on laughing too hard, loving country music, and never saying no to a good time (or a glass of wine). Whether we’re hitting up The Whining Pig, planning a spontaneous happy hour, or pretending we survived that one camping trip, she’s always the one I can count on to show up ready for fun — even if it's just to the gym.
She’s the life of the party, my partner-in-crime for bar crawls, Dave & Buster’s battles, and country concerts. Amber’s loyal, easygoing, and always down to ride. With her own wedding coming up next year, she’s been full of tips, hype, and support through this whole planning rollercoaster. Amber has been there with love, laughter, and maybe a rubber duckie or two. I couldn’t image doing it without her!

Michaela is the kind of friend who turns a casual hangout into a full-on event. She always brings the energy, the laughs, and somehow always knows what I’m thinking before I do. One of my favorite memories with her is watching The Bachelor at her apartment, while her dog Finley flew across the couch like he was fighting for a rose.
She’s the first to suggest karaoke, the loudest cheerleader in the room, and somehow still sneaks in solid life advice like a pro. Michaela gets me like no one else, always knows how to turn chaos into fun, and reminds me that this wedding is about me and Steven.
I couldn’t imagine this day without her. She’s one of my absolute favorites and always down for a good time!

I met Aly through Valley of the Sun two years ago, and we hit it off right away. Whether it’s volunteering at VOS events or dancing our way through a bar crawl, Aly brings the perfect mix of hilarity to everything she does.
Some of my favorite memories with Aly are summers in Pinetop, the chaotic Bullfrog Loop parade on 4th of July, and laughing with wine in hand. After her recent wedding, she’s now my wedding guru and hype woman. No matter the moment, Aly shows up with a big heart and the power to turn any mild crisis into a full-blown celebration.
If you ever need someone to show up, show out, and pour the wine—it’s Aly. I’m so lucky to have her by my side!

I've known Enrique for over 10 years when we met at Organ Stop Pizza back in 2010, Enrique’s been my friend who's always down — whether it's helping me fix up a rental house, float down the salt river, going out for Sushi, or travelling around the world. We’ve explored Australia, Japan, Mexico, and racked up more travel stories than either of us can remember — probably because we were too busy laughing or drinking.
Enrique’s the kind of guy who shows up when it matters, gives solid advice when you need it, and pushes you to be better without ever making it feel like a chore. He’s had my back and I honestly couldn’t imagine this day without him.
Fair warning: he cares hard, parties harder, and drinks like a fish. If you see him at the bar, consider yourself invited to the chaos!

Chasen is my only brother and lifelong adventure buddy. We’ve had our differences over the years, but we've shared some incredible memories together. From boating at Canyon Lake, building forts up north, skiing in Colorado, driving around the islands in Hawaii, bar hopping in Amsterdam, and cruising through the Caribbean – Chasen has always been there through just about every phase of my life.
Chasen is outgoing, wild in the best way, and the life of the party. He’s always ready to make people laugh when you need it most and I know I can count on him during one of the most important moments in my life.
We’ve had a long journey together, and I’m proud to have Chasen standing next to me on this big day!

Jorge Paz has been one of my best friends since 2009, back when we both worked at Organ Stop Pizza, and he’s been a steady part of my life ever since.
Jorge brings the chill in our friend group. Jorge’s the one who keeps things grounded. He’s not the party guy, but he’s always down to catch a movie, eat sushi, talk sports (especially baseball), or just hang out.
He’s the kind of friend who always gives solid advice, never brings drama, and somehow makes everything feel a little more relaxed, especially in my crazy life! If you're looking for someone to discuss baseball stats with or just kick back and have a good chat, Jorge’s your guy.

Ah yes, Chase—aka Mr. Life of the Party™, Chief Vibes Officer, and the guy who somehow manages to be everyone's best friend five minutes after meeting them. I first met Chase over at Scottsdale Camelback Resort playing games and enjoying a slice of pizza.
Chase has become a close friend to both Shelby and I. One of my favorite memories with him was a chaotic night playing King’s Cup. Things were said, laughter was uncontrollable and Chase was the life of the party. Since then, he’s become one of those rare friends who checks in on you, offers solid advice and is always down to hangout.
I’m grateful to have him standing by my side, and I’m excited to see our friendship continue to grow in the years ahead.
